Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted in 3D Review

Plot: Alex and the gang continue their mission to return to the zoo while being hunted down by the wicked Dubois. Their journey takes them through Europe when they join a traveling circus.

Alex: Perfect 3D movie, not overdone and the animation was fantastic; made me feel like a kid again. I’ve seen the first 2 and this one is my favorite. Joanna hasn’t seen the first 2 and she totally caught on to the plot without bugging me with questions. Sad that it’s the last but they ended it perfectly. Only downside was the kids sitting behind me kept kicking my seat and touching my head… Annoying. Afro Circus, Afro Circus! Score: 5/5

Joanna: I love these movies that are made for children but have enough adult themes/jokes to keep the adult viewers entertained. Madagascar 3 definitely had enough humor and action to keep everyone entertained. The kids in the theater were laughing and walking out singing Marty’s little circus song. But you must see it in 3D to get the full effect. Score: 5/5

“I’m down, I’ve got the 411, and you are not going out and getting jiggy with some boy, I don’t care how dope his ride is. My momma didn’t raise no foo’!” Walter Stratford (10 Things I Hate About You)

That’s My Boy- Review

Plot: A teacher-student relationship leads to a mother in jail and a teen boy raising their son. Years later the baby’s grown up but the father… not so much. After years of not seeing each other, Donny (Sandler) finds his son Todd (Samberg) and well… brings back some bad memories and confronts some awkward situations… in a funny way of course.

Alex: Being a big Adam Sandler fan, I liked it. It was a raunchy, funny, and fucked up comedy… and it had its sentimental moments. Definitely a guy movie with all the nudity and crude jokes. Not one of Sandler’s best but definitely not one of the worst either. I thought the scene with a drunk Vanilla Ice pissing like a “fountain” was hilarious. But Sandler’s fake Boston accent started getting really annoying. Score: 3/5

Joanna: It was okay. Some of the nudity was totally unnecessary and the jokes were pretty simple but I laughed enough to make it worth my while. The minor characters were actually funnier than the main characters. From the very beginning I was kind of freaked out by the issues the characters face throughout the film. But if you are into teacher-student relationships, incest, big fat strippers… then this is your kind of movie. If not… then just wait til it’s out on DVD or on tv to check it out like the Adam Sandler haters (I personally like Sandler) who secretly watch his films. Score: 2.75/5
